We have negotiated a favorable one-way ($24/person) and round-trip rate ($35/person) with Las Cruces Shuttle Service to take participants of the Midwest Symposium from El Paso International Airport to any of the hotels listed on the accommodations. You must call them in advance to reserve a seat on the shuttle van. When you call:

Identify yourself as an “MWS” conference participant for the reduced rates.

Please have the following flight information available:

• Airline, arrival time, arrival date, and flight number
• Airline, departure date, departure time, and flight number

Please have the following hotel/accommodations information available:

• Hotel name (or residence hall) and phone number.
• Pickup location in Las Cruces and phone number if different from hotel. For example, you may want to be picked up right after the symposium, which is held in the Corbett Center on the NMSU campus. A phone number there is 1-505-646-7754.

Further, you must pay for the round-trip fare on the first half of your trip to obtain the roundtrip discount. Payment must be made to the driver in cash or check. No credit cards can be accepted.

Directions From Airports

Directions from El Paso International Airport to Las Cruces:

Airport exit puts you on Airway Blvd. South. Follow Airway approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto I-10 West. Follow I-10 West approximately 40 miles to Las Cruces & I-25 North (see directions to specific destinations in Las Cruces below.)

Directions from Juarez Airport to Las Cruces:

Take Pan Americana Hwy 45 from the airport into Juarez. Highway curves and changes name to 16 de Septiembre. Follow 16 of Septiembre to Lopez Mateos - turn right. Follow Lopez Mateos to Lincoln, turn right. Follow Lincoln to the US/Mexico Border. Cross border and go directly to I-10 West. Follow I-10 West approximately 40 miles to Las Cruces & I-25 North (see directions to specific destinations in Las Cruces below).

Directions to Corbett Center / Residence Halls

From I-10 West, take I-25 North (direction Albuquerque). Take Exit 1, University Ave. Turn left. Proceed through first light at Triviz. The entrance to parking Lot 27 (Visitor’s Parking) is on the left, just after the intersection. Park. Walk 100 yards down (to the right) International Mall. Corbett Center is on the left.

Directions to Sleep Inn / Comfort Suites:

From I-10 West, take I-25 North (direction Albuquerque). Take Exit 1, University Ave. Turn left. Turn right at the first light, Triviz. Hotels are on left.

Directions to Las Cruces Hilton:

From I-10 West, take I-25 North (direction Albuquerque). Take Exit 1, University Ave. Turn right. Take first left onto Telshor Blvd. Proceed 1.5 miles north on Telshor until light at Foothills Blvd. Turn right onto Foothill. Hotel is on right.

Directions to “Additional” Hotels:

Take I-10 West to Exit 142 (Main Street). The first intersection is University Ave. and Valley Drive. Continue straight at light and you will be on Valley Drive. All “Additional” hotels are within 0.5 miles of University Ave. on either the right or left-hand side of Valley Drive.
