Paper Submission Instructions

On this page you will find instructions for the preparation of your paper.

Paper Length And Overpage Fees

You are allowed a total of four (4) pages for your paper. This includes all figures, tables, and references. The conference is allowing up to four (4) additional overpages for a fee of US$100.00 per overpage. Please read this carefully, these overpage instructions are very important. The overpage checks must be made out to New Mexico State University, and sent to:

Paper Submission

Papers are due August 11, 1999 at the conference site. Please bring a completely filled out and signed IEEE Copyright Release Form, two camera-ready hard copy final manuscripts, and one electronic final manuscript on a 3.5" floppy disk (IBM formatting) Acceptable electronic formats are: Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Postscript, or PDF. Your papers and disks must be turned in to the Midwest Symposium registration desk by 9AM, August 11, 1999.

Please download and print out either: (1) the Word Sample File and Word Paper Submission Instructions, or (2) the PDF Sample File and PDF Paper Submission Instructions.

LaTeX Sample File

A reasonably functioning LaTeX sample file is available here for download. Note that IEEE Conference Publishing considers the Word and PDF files above the correct format. So please download and print out a set of Author Instructions above before downloading the LaTeX files below.

Download these three files:

mwscas.tex (sample file from 40th Midwest Symposium)
mwscas.sty (style file modified from ieeemagn.sty)
mwscasps.ps (sample postscript file)

Once you have downloaded the above files, run:

latex mwscas
latex mwscas
dvips -o mwscas.ps mwscas

and compare the postscript files, mwscas.ps and mwscasps.ps to ensure all is functioning correctly.
